Funerals set for pair killed in West End crash

Funeral services have been arranged for two men killed in a crash on Cary Street Road Saturday night. 

A celebration of Joel Forshaw's life will be held 6 p.m. Thursday at Fairmount Christian Church, 6502 Creighton Rd., Mechanicsville. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Joel Forshaw Memorial Scholarship Fund to be awarded to a graduating senior from Highland Springs High School's Engineering Center who would be attending VCU.  Donations may be made to Tamera Forshaw, c/o Joel Forshaw Memorial Scholarship Fund, Citizens and Farmers Bank, 100 E. Williamsburg Road, Sandston, Va., 23150. Arrangements by Monaghan Funeral Home.

A memorial for Nathanial Daigle will be held on 1 p.m. Saturday at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 East Brookland Park Blvd, Richmond. An informal gathering will be held first, followed by a service to celebrate his life. Contributions in his memory may be made to Art 180 at www.art180.org or to the charity of your choice.

The two young men were killed Saturday night when their car crashed into several trees along Cary Street Road.
