A Powhatan man found guilty of beating, abducting and abandoning a special education teacher will find out his sentence on Tuesday morning.
Police say James Wolfe entered through one of 57-year-old Mary Anderson's windows and attacked the teacher with a meat cleaver.
Wolfe demanded money and medication. When Anderson had neither, he admitted to setting her home on fire. He then abducted her, and forced her to withdraw money from a Chesterfield ATM. That's where he left the woman to die.
The teacher has almost fully-recovered.
Wolfe will be sentenced at 10:30 a.m.
