Angela JaneckaA Grand Jury will hear the case of a Henrico mother accused of trying to kill her newborn.
Angela Janecka, 39, appeared briefly in court Monday. Lawyers decided the case will go before a Grand Jury in March.
Janecka gave birth to her baby at home in August, then wrapped the newborn in a pillowcase and put her the clothes dryer, according to prosecutors. She told her husband that she delivered a stillborn daughter at their Aloe Court apartment. However, he heard the child screaming and discovered the baby alive. The child survived and is now doing well.
Janecka will remain in jail on charges of attempted murder and felony child neglect.
