Dr. Patrick Woodward is seeing many cases of gastritis.
This is different than the regular stomach flu. Its features are searing abdominal pain and body aches with severe fatigue.
Gastritis may have some nausea, but little vomiting, and tends to have less diarrhea. Unlike the stomach flu which lasts 24-48 hours, this could last a week.
The most disturbing feature is the severe and persistent searing stomach pain as the virus eats away at the internal lining of the stomach.
