
A man is rushed to the hospital after flames rip through his home.
The fire started at a home in the 4200 block of Ketcham Drive, near Newbys Bridge Road. Chesterfield Fire tells us the man awoke to his smoke detectors around 8:40 p.m.
He managed to escape, but suffered some smoke inhalation and was taken to Chippenham Hospital.
Crews say there's significant damage to the first floor of the home.
One firefighter was injured at the scene. The firefighter was not taken to the hospital, but was treated on scene.
Fire Marshals are still investigating the cause.
