A standoff that led to the lockdown of two Prince George schools came to an end with a suspect in police custody.
Police say an armed man who took a large number of pills refused to come out of his home around 3 p.m. Wednesday. Police weren't able to get in and grew concerned the man may turn violent.
Clements Junior High School and Prince George High School were put on lock down as a precaution, according to school officials. Laurel Spring Road near Route 156 are also closed due to the investigation.
The situation was resolved peacefully around 4:30 p.m. and the suspect was taken into custody. No one was harmed and so far no charges have been placed.
