POWHATAN, VA (WWBT) -

A man accused of shooting and killing two Siberian Huskies now faces two felony counts of cruelty to animals.

Louis Nigro Jr. was arrested by Powhatan sheriffs Monday and released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.

Sheriffs found the dogs shot to death on a piece of property near Jeter Road after they escaped from their owner's yard.
