Richmond native Randolph signing with Notre Dame

Posted: Updated:
RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Doug Randolph left Richmond for the Woodberry Forest School to get him ready for college. Now he's going to the college of his dreams.

Randolph is signing with Notre Dame, the second straight season that Woodberry Forest has sent a player to South Bend.  The school has a junior, linebacker Greer Martini, who has verbally committed to Notre Dame for next season.

Randolph is an outside linebacker who is a U.S. Army All-American. He started his prep career at Collegiate School, but decided he wanted a more "college-like" experience.  His junior season he transferred to Woodberry Forest, a boarding school in Madison County.

Shortly thereafter, he verbally committed to Stanford. On September 7th, he pulled that commitment, and switched to Notre Dame.
