Adams' coach ready for signing day

Posted: Updated:
VIENNA, GA (WALB) -

Wednesday is national signing day.

High school football players across the nation make their college choice official.

Many players have already made their decision but there are a few highly prized recruits who will make their decisions on Wednesday.

One of those is Dooly County defensive tackle Montravius Adams.

A national television audience will watch Adams make his choice between Georgia, Auburn, Alabama and Clemson Wednesday morning in Vienna.

Head coach Jimmy Hughes will be glad when the news is out.

Hughes has been busy working as a secretary, advisor and travel agent for his star player for the last year.

The one benefit is Hughes is one of the few people who knows where Montravius is going to play next year.

"I think he has made the decision to attend the school that he has chosen for all the right reasons. Unfortunately there were three other finalists schools that may not be so happy tomorrow. That is just part of it. I am grateful for the class and the dignity that those coaches have shown towards us in the last couple of days during this,' said Jimmy Hughes.

Dooly County linebacker Jalen Daniels will sign with Troy on Wednesday and Deshawn Wiley is planning to sign with Mississippi Delta Community College.
