RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -
The DMV may be expanding its services beyond motor vehicles.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that lawmakers are pushing bills that would allow the Department of Motor Vehicles to sell copies of birth and death certificates as well as sell marriage and divorce certificates.
If these bills pass, the paper reports the DMV could begin selling copies of some of those records as early as next year.
