Virginia State Police have charged a Baltimore man with reckless driving after his box truck overturned, snarling traffic on Interstate 64 Friday morning.
Jeffrey H. Gilroy, 24, of Baltimore, Md., was charged with reckless driving - failure to maintain proper control.
All lanes of Interstate 64 are now back open, but the overturned box truck snarled traffic during rush hour.
Police say Gilroy ran his 2009 Ford box truck off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail. He then over corrected causing the box truck to overturn onto the passenger side blocking both the left and center lanes westbound.
The crash backed up traffic to the Staples Mill exit on the westbound side.
Gilroy, who was wearing his safety belt, was not injured in the crash.
State Police reported all lanes were back open shortly after 8 a.m.
