RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

A big shift in the investigation into a fire in Richmond that left a man dead. Police have now ruled the death a homicide.

The body of 77-year-old Walter Boone was found inside a burning home on Cofer Road on December 8.

Richmond Police said Thursday that findings by the medical examiner's office led them to reclassify his death.

Detectives released a composite of a person of interest in the case. They say the woman was last seen with Boone, and they would like to talk with her. She is 5 feet 6 inches tall and has scars on her right cheek.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
