A 42-year-old man faces reckless driving charges for his role in a crash involving a Henrico school bus Thursday morning.
Eleven students and two adults were taken to the hospital after the three-vehicle crash. The bus was carrying Elko Middle School on Nine Mile Road around 8 a.m. It was stopped and attempting to turn left onto Battery Street when a two-vehicle collision sent a vehicle into the bus, according to Henrico school officials.
Eight students were taken to VCU Medical Center and 3 to Memorial Regional Medical Center for minor injuries. The bus driver and the driver of the other vehicle were also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the car that police say caused the crash was written a summons and released.
