RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -
VCU Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened near the Monroe Park campus around 11p.m. Wednesday.
The robbery happened just a block away from the Siegel Center. VCU Police say that two victims were walking in the 1100 block of West Marshall Street when they were robbed at gunpoint by three men.
Police say the robbers shoved the victims to the ground and then took everything they had on them before they took off.
As a result both VCU and Richmond Police are stepping up patrols in the area.
