HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -
A marathon spelling bee in Henrico ended with a Moody Middle School student winning his 5th consecutive contest.
Aditya Kannoth of Moody and Tejas Muthusamy of Rivers Edge Elementary were the last two contestants standing after 25 rounds. The initial spelling bee ended in a tie, forcing a spell-off Tuesday afternoon.
Muthusamy misspelled his first word. Kannoth spelled the next two correctly and took home the prize.
