A bill to fund resource officers in every public school in Virginia has been suspended by the General Assembly.
According to the Times-Dispatch, a Senate committee has decided to wait on voting.
Instead they want to send this matter to the Governor's recently appointed school safety task force.
The bills were created in response to the deadly Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Connecticut.
