Public meeting to discuss changes to Springfield Road in Henrico

VDOT is holding a public meeting Tuesday to discuss the future of a busy stretch of road that connects the West End to Glen Allen.

VDOT has been working on ways to improve congestion on a two-mile stretch of Springfield Road between Nuckols and Staples Mill.

Transportation officials are considering several options, including building a new road, or realigning the curves near echo lake park.

Tuesday's public meeting is at Glen Allen High School from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
