Breaking: Overnight Shooting

Good Tuesday morning it's Gray. Here's a look at some of the stories you will want to catch before you leave the house on 12 News Today.

We are following Breaking News from Henrico. Police are investigating a shooting, where a store clerk was shot at a convenience store. This is all happening at Mechanicsville Turnpike and Byron Street.

In Henrico, parents will have a chance to weigh on the school spending plan later today. Henrico County Schools will not be forced to eliminate jobs to make up an 11-million-dollar budget shortfall, but the School Board also says no pay raises are in the works for teachers. The county is asking for input on the budget proposal. A public hearing is set for 6:30pm at Henrico High School's Auditorium.

This morning, we have an update on the Virginia inmate who could become the Country's first convict to have a taxpayer funded sex change surgery to treat Gender Identity Disorder, and the compulsion to self castrate.
