Fire rages at a Henrico home - NBC12.com - Richmond, VA News

Investigators are trying to figure out what started a house fire in Henrico Sunday night.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. at a home in the 1900 block of Fon Du Lac Road. When crews arrived, they found heavy fire coming from the roof and the back of the home.

The one person inside at the time said she heard a popping noise, and that's when the smoke detector went off. When she got up to see what was going on she saw the smoke and fire near the laundry room.

She then called 911. Fire crews had the blaze all under control in about 30 minutes. No one was hurt.

While investigators have yet to determine the exact cause of the fire, firefighters did say that they noticed an arching electrical service near the laundry room.
