Hanover County Schools may be backing off one idea of increasing the amount of classes teachers have every day.
Due to some massive school budget woes, Hanover County has been considering increasing the teacher workloads, by adding an extra period for them to teach, and possibly eliminating a planning session.
This is all a way for school leaders to save money, but after recent public outcries, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that Hanover school leaders say they are re-considering that option. Instead, they may stick to teachers having to teach for five periods.
