HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -

Take your time on the roads this morning - the snow is making roads slick, which leads to dangerous conditions for your morning commute.

In Henrico's west end, a car slid off the road into the woods at Francistown Road, near Hungary Creek Middle School.

The morning snow caused several closings and delays Thursday morning. For the complete list, visit the NBC12 Closings and Delays page.

When asked why Henrico did not close or delay Thursday morning, Henrico County Public Schools released this statement:

"The decision to delay or not delay is made very carefully. In this case, the transportation staff began assessing road conditions at 4:00 a.m. and worked with the County Roads Department to review travel conditions throughout the county. After taking into consideration current and forecasted weather conditions, it was determined that our students could be transported to school safely and on time. This decision was made at 5:00 a.m.

We continue to monitor the forecast for Friday."
