The first apartments for rent at Rocketts Landing are one step closer to being built. The Henrico Board of Supervisors just approved a resolution that would help finance the project.
The loan is through the Virginia Housing Development Authority, but the requirements of the loan caused some concern because it calls for "lower and moderate income" housing. This means some of the renters must make 80-percent less than the average median income of the county.
Recent meetings show neighbors support the plan. The developer says building could start next month.
