If you live in Chesterfield, you should see your property assessments in the mail as early as Saturday.
Officials with the county say this year looks promising. Overall, home values are down 1.3%.
However, officials say a third of those homes maintained or increased their value. That's up from just 2% of homes that did so last year.
The county also reported that retail property values are up slightly and new construction has tremendously helped the tax base.
Because of developments like Amazon and Kroger, overall, Chesterfield saw a half percent increase in tax base - which should add up to roughly $2 million.
