
A man stabbed Sunday morning has died, marking the first homicide in Richmond of 2013. Prosecutors plan to seek murder charges against his girlfriend.
Elbert D. Lynch was found stabbed several times in the 1800 block of Southlawn Avenue around 1:59 a.m. Sunday, police said. He died at midnight Tuesday, according to prosecutors. Police arrested his girlfriend, Jamora E. Williams, Sunday on malicious wounding charges.
Richmond Commonwealth's Attorneys say they intend to seek murder charges against her from the multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury when it meets tomorrow.
