ETX woman robbed at gunpoint

Released by the Tyler Police Department:

On 01-18-2013 at approximately 2259hrs, a Residential Burglary occurred in the 500 block of Seagle St. Tyler Smith County, Texas. Upon Officer's arrival, they contacted the victim who stated she was in her living room when she heard a loud noise inside the residence. The victim went to her bedroom and locked the door at this time.  After several minutes, the suspects attempted to open the bedroom door. After realizing it was locked, they were able to force it open. The victim said she observed two black male suspects enter the room at this time. She was ordered to the floor and asked where she kept her money. The suspects took her purse, wallet, and an undetermined amount of money. Both suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim was unharmed during the incident. The  first suspect was described as a tall, thin black male, wearing a black ski mask, and was carrying a black shotgun. The second suspect was a shorter, heavy set black male, also wearing a black ski mask, and was carrying a black handgun. At this time there is no further information pertaining to the case.     Crews are investigating, after a fire broke out at an apartment in Henrico. It happened in the 10 block of Chase Gayton Drive, around 1:23 p.m. Sunday. When crews got on scene, they say fire was coming from the top floor of a 3-story building. It took firefighters about 20 minutes to put that fire out.     Police say the victim was hit by a car. Her body was found near Firehouse Drive in the Blue Ridge Shores area.

    A woman has died, after police say she was struck by a van in Richmond. Police say the woman was walking across the 1100 block of Azalea Avenue around 3 p.m. Saturday, when she was struck by a van turning left off Seminary Avenue. The driver of that van stayed on the scene. Police say the woman was already dead when they got to the scene. The driver is not facing charges at this time. The investigation continues, as police work to notify the victim's family.
