RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -
A man has died after being accidentally shot by a young relative inside his Richmond home, according to Richmond Police.
Casper R. Jones, 58, was shot in his home at 2315 Whitcomb Street on Sunday at 11:20 a.m. Detectives say he was shot by a "very young juvenile" who was related to Jones and lives in the home. Detectives are still investigating and prosecutors have not determined whether any charges will be placed.
Police say the loaded gun was left sitting out in the home. At this time, they haven't indicated how the child was related to the man.
