Governor Bob McDonnell says he will not block next week's scheduled execution of a Virginia man who strangled two other prisoners, and vowed to keep killing unless he was put to death.
McDonnell said Friday that 42-year-old Robert Gleason Jr. has shown no remorse for the murders.
Gleason has not appealed his sentence or asked the governor for clemency, but McDonnell said he reviewed the case anyway.
Gleason is set to be executed Wednesday.
