A Chesterfield man faces a stack of charges for sexual crimes with minors. Police say, in several cases, Robert Dodd gave alcohol to minors and engaged in inappropriate acts with them after they were drunk.
Dodd lives on Wyclif Road off of Courthouse Road in Chesterfield. Neighbors say they've witnessed a fair amount of parties at Robert Dodd's house over the years. They also say Dodd has taken young people in to live with him who are not his children. But all of the neighbors say they are shocked by allegations of sex crimes with minors, especially at Dodd's home.
Police say Dodd gave kids at his home alcohol and then, once they were drunk, engaged in inappropriate acts with them.
The crimes are listed as taking place in February 2012, June 2011, and 2010 - each of them over a month's span.
Also in the court record was an allegation of exposure in the 90s and nearly 10 years of sexual battery, sexual abuse,a and forcible sexual acts with another juvenile victim.
NBC12 knocked on the door of Dodd's home, but the person inside declined to comment. Dodd is not currently listed on the sex offender registry as having any previous sex crime conviction.
Dodd is currently at Riverside Regional Jail, awaiting his day in court. His lawyer says Dodd maintains his innocence and intends to plead not guilty. He went on to say the facts will speak for themselves at trial. Dodd is scheduled to be in court next month.
