Exum to return to Virginia Tech

Posted: Updated:
BLACKSBURG, VA (WWBT) -

Deep Run product Antone Exum will return to Virginia Tech for his final year of eligibility.  The Hokies' cornerback made the announcement Wednesday.

Exum was exploring his NFL options and trying to figure out where he might be drafted, and if it would be worth the risk.

The former Wildcat is coming off a very productive junior season.  He was fifth on the team with 48 tackles and led the Hokies with five interceptions.

Exum's teammate, Logan Thomas, has yet to make his decision on whether or not to return for his senior year.  Next Tuesday, January 15, marks the deadline to make that announcement.
