People in one Chesterfield neighborhood are busy cleaning up the mess vandals left during the night.
Several cars, garages and a shed were left covered in spray paint in a neighborhood just off Providence Road. Police say three homes were hit, on Woodward Drive, Sutherland Road, and Hardford Lane, all very close to one another.
Those who live there believe it may be gang-related and are hoping police will find out who vandalized their property.
"We were surprised but we're not afraid. We're not leaving the area, we just came into this house just recently and we love the house we love the neighbors," said the homeowner who owns one of the vandalized properties. The family had just moved in a few weeks ago and wanted NBC12 to protect their identities.
Another homeowner is now worrying about cleaning the graffiti off her cars and garage.
"I kept thinking what we did that insulted someone enough to invade our personal property, I don't understand, it's very hurtful," said the homeowner on Woodward Drive.
