Future college stars highlight St. Chris vs. Christchurch

Posted: Updated:
RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

St. Christopher's was hosting Christchurch Tuesday night in a game so big, that Shaka Smart had to see it first hand.

And the VCU head man caught a great one - as the Saints pulled off the overtime victory 74-66.

St. Christopher's trailed by 8 points with two minutes to go, but a pair of Nick Sherod 3's and then a Rodney Williams dunk tied the game and sent it into the extra frame. St. Chris outscored Christchurch 12-4 in OT.

Williams, a Drexel verbal commit, finished with 28 points, and Sherod added 18.

For Christchurch, Devin Robinson poured in 19 points. Robinson, a junior, has received offers from UConn, Xavier, Virginia Tech and others.
