CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -
Police are investigating after a man is shot near Jeff Davis Highway and Chippenham Parkway during an attempted robbery.
Police say the man admitted to trying to sell drugs at a home in the 5400 block of Remuda Drive. When the door opened, he realized that he was about to be robbed and tried to run.
The man was shot in the buttocks while he fled. He was taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment.
Investigators are on the scene to gather more information about the shooting. No details have been released about the man who was injured, or any charges or arrests made at this time.
