Green takes All-American stage

SAN ANTONIO, TX (WWBT) -

Derrick Green is the top running back recruit in the nation, according to rivals.com, and took the field Saturday at the Alamodome in San Antonio with other top recruits for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Green split time with several other tailbacks, and finished the day with 49 rushing yard, including a 23-yard third quarter scamper that marked the longest rush of the contest.  His East squad won the game, 15-8.

The Hermitage running back did not announce his college decision during the game, as some recruits choose to do so.  He did not say when he would announce that decision, but did say his top five are Michigan, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida State and Miami.

Green set Hermitage records for rushing yards and touchdowns during his career.
