Virginia has set a new record when it comes to gun sales.
According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, gun transactions totaled a little over 432,000 last year.
That's quite a jump from 321,000 in 2011. The commonwealth's surging gun sales outpaced the nation as a whole.
The jump could be due in part to the repeal of the state's one-handgun-per-month law, and fears of increased gun restrictions after December's school massacre in Connecticut.
