A former Chesterfield substitute teacher accused in a sex scandal is back in court Thursday.
Police say she had at least one inappropriate relationship with a Chesterfield High School student. Graphic pictures allegedly sent to a young man spread on Twitter, and now criminal charges against the former teacher move forward in court.
Former substitute teacher, 24-year-old Anna Michelle Walters was fired October 12th, the day police began investigating. Investigators arrested her less than two weeks later on charges of having sex with an underage student in a classroom after school hours.
Investigators say it was the former student, now in college, who posted graphic text messages and nude photos of Walters. He says the sub sent those to him. The pictures spread on twitter and across the Internet.
Now the student who posted the pictures is of age, so as police found out more about the teacher, they charged her with having an illicit sexual relationship with a student who still attends Cosby.
Walters is fighting two charges Thursday: taking indecent liberties with an underage student while in a supervisory role and having carnal knowledge of a minor. Both charges are felonies with sentences of 1-10 years each behind bars. So it could be between 2 and 20 years behind bars if found guilty.
