Central Virginia welcomes New Year's babies

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

2013 came in with a real blessing for one Central Virginia family.

The Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU delivered the first baby of the year, a boy, born just after midnight. The family chose not to share his name or photo.

HCA had a baby boy born at 12:14 a.m. at Henrico Doctors' hospital. Maxwell McCoy Parrish was born weighing 9 lbs. 2.5 oz, and measuring 21 inches to parents Nellie and Joshua Parrish.
