MATT LINCOLN IN ORLANDO: Small showing for Hokies at pep rally

Posted: Updated:
ORLANDO, FL (WWBT) -

Virginia Tech football fans are used to traveling to some of the biggest bowl games, but questions surround how the showing will be in Orlando from the Hokie faithful.  If Thursday's pep rally is any indication, Rutgers could hear the louder cheers come Friday's Russell Athletic Bowl.

About four times as many Rutgers fans showed up for the Scarlet Knights' pep rally when compared to the Hokie fans at the Virginia Tech pep rally.  Those that did show up in maroon and orange were passionate as always, cheering in hopes of a victory on Friday.
