Changes planned for Maymont Park

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Changes are on the way for Richmond's Maymont Park.

The foundation that maintains and operates the 100-acre park says it expects to begin a major overhaul as early as next year.

They want to renovate Maymont's Children's Farm, improve the nature center and enhance the park's landscaping.

The Maymont Foundation just completed the first year of a five-year capital campaign.

It is looking to raise $25 million for the improvements. So far they have raised $14 million.
