
It was all hands on deck at the Conrad Center Tuesday as volunteers served food to some of Richmond's less fortunate.
People who stopped by the soup kitchen were treated to hot meals and some holiday spirit.
Event organizers say their mission is to bring food, shelter, and the power to change.
One thing Freedom House leaders want people to know is that these services are not just available on Christmas day, they are available all year.
"We are open seven days a week, and changing their lives," said Christy Ellis, Conrad Center Director of Community Resources
This year event organizers also raffled off 20 bikes and six gift cards in memory of the Sandy Hook shooting victims.
