One person seriously injured in crash on Chippenham Parkway

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

An early morning accident on Chippenham Parkway sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries.

This happened on the northbound side, right at the Huguenot Road exit. Police say there was one person in the car when it overturned.

That person was taken to VCU Medical Center and was rushed into surgery. No word yet on their condition.

At last check, the crash team was still on scene of the accident.
