RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -
Richmond Police have identified the victim in a deadly shooting in the city's south side, Wednesday night.
A report of shots fired and a man down sent Richmond officers rushing to the 2400 block of Brady Avenue at 7:17 p.m.
Once on scene, investigators discovered the body of Isaiah Welch, 21, lying on the ground. Welch was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives tell NBC12 they don't believe this was a random shooting. The medical examiner will determine the exact cause and manner of the death.
Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
