CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -
An accident in Chesterfield sends twelve people to the hospital.
It happened at the intersection of Hopkins and Kingsland roads. Police say an SUV ran the stop sign and collided with a medical transport van filled with seniors.
Ten people in the van were rushed to the hospital. Some of the passengers suffered minor injuries, but will be okay. The owner of the transport company says the group was returning from a day center, to their group homes.
The two young men in the SUV are in serious condition - friends of the family say one may be paralyzed.
