Old Dominion is stepping up in divisions in football next year, and the school feels ready to take on the state's heavyweights.
WAVY in Norfolk is reporting that ODU and Virginia Tech have signed an agreement to play each other in 2016, '17 and '18. The teams will play at Lane Stadium during the even years, and in Norfolk in 2017.
Quoted tonight by Virginian Pilot reporter Harry Minium, ODU Athletic Director Dr. Wood Selig said Tech was the only school in America he would do a 2 for 1 game deal with, and that he will never agree to another one again.
ODU is moving to the FBS next year, and will play in the Conference USA.
