Landmark "Grinch" steals Christmas, gives back next day

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

We can now report a happy ending to a real life run-in with the Grinch this holiday season. When "The Grinch: The Musical" went dark over the weekend, many of you called the newsroom saying you wanted your money back.

Broadway Richmond said a power outage in the area forced them to cancel the Saturday afternoon show.

The Woods family spoke to NBC12 Tuesday night, saying they spent $300 for tickets alone and wanted the theater to do the right thing.

One day later, the family says the Landmark commented on seeing our report and was very apologetic before confirming that refunds are being processed.

While reports are unconfirmed, it is believed that the Grinch's heart grew three sizes.
