Antonio Montoya was elected to the board of the newly formed Alabama Chapter of the Management Association for Private Photogrammetric Surveyors (AL-MAPPS).

Antonio Montoya was elected to the board of the newly formed Alabama Chapter of the Management Association for Private Photogrammetric Surveyors (AL-MAPPS).

Montoya who will serve as president elect for the chapter, is AeroMetric’s marketing vice president. In this role, he leads all marketing activities at AeroMetric, including strategy development, research, operations, communications, branding, social media and online marketing.

Antonio has been involved with geospatial technologies for over 20 years in roles including consulting, sales, product development and marketing. Antonio’s experience includes world-wide Product Management and international roles in sales and business development, and technical marketing as well as consulting in major geospatial technology projects.

Antonio studied in Europe, Latin America, and the US. He is fluent in English and Spanish, and conversational French and Portuguese. He has a degree in Civil Engineering a diploma on web marketing from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and is currently pursuing an Executive Certificate in Management at MIT-Sloan.

The new AL-MAPPS board is comprised of the following MAPPS members: Dale Jobes, of Magnolia River, president; Antonio Montoya, of AeroMetric, president elect; George Jones, of Intergraph, treasurer; Scott Beard, of Wiser, secretary; and Aaron Morris, of Michael Baker, director.
