Following the news of Atlanta airport staff throwing eggs at the New Orleans Saints bus, Surf Patch releases a statement on the news.
Bohemia, NY (PRWEB) December 05, 2012
On December 5, 2012, travel company Surf Patch released a statement following a WLTZ News article regarding Atlanta airport workers throwing raw eggs at the New Orleans Saints team bus upon departure questioning the airports ability to let passengers fly clear.
According to the WLTZ News article, “A rude welcome for the New Orleans Saints as the boarded charter coaches on the tarmac at Hartsfield-Jackson airport Wednesday night.” The article states that driver Michael Triplett was driving the New Orleans Saints team bus when Atlanta airport staff started throwing eggs at the bus. "How can this have happened in a secure area?” Triplett asked in the article.
The article mentioned that airport security is launching a search to find the prankster employees behind the unacceptable actions taken. The article states that Saints players tweeted about the event. Saints tight end Jimmy Graham tweeted, “bus just got egged after landing in ATL by the ramp workers. Classy! "rise up."
According to Ed Daniels, sports director for New Orleans sister station, “I'm not looking at it from a security standpoint.” According to the article, the airports general manager promised they will get to the bottom of the situation and take appropriate action once the culprits are found.
Surf Patch know the prank was a harmless fan based attempt to show support for their home team, but worries about security and the ability for passengers to fly clear of dangers. “I know it seemed like a harmless prank on a rival team, but this poses great concern to the airports security and how careless some of the staff may be there,” says world traveler Takara Licausi.
