SUFFOLK, VA (WWBT) -
A violent attack puts a man in the hospital and his uncle behind bars.
Police say Walter Smith Jr. attacked his nephew, dousing him in gasoline, then stabbing him with a box cutter.
The victim was still conscious when Suffolk officers arrived and told them his uncle was threatening to set him on fire.
It's unclear what prompted the attack, but Walter Smith now faces an extensive list of charges.
