A fugitive wanted in several parts of Virginia is finally off the streets after police arrested him Tuesday afternoon in Henrico's West End.
The US Marshal's Service was able to track and arrest Diatation Langhorne, 36, at the intersection of Mayland Drive and Deep Rock Road in a business complex off Broad Street.
Langhorne was wanted in Charlottesville, Buckingham, and Fluvanna counties.
"We didn't know what was going on," said Laurie Burton, who works nearby, but never imagined the intersection she walks through frequently would turn into a police scene. "People in the office thought maybe they were looking for someone. Sometimes the police will sit out here and monitor everything."
Langhorne was wanted on 15 warrants including cocaine distribution and running from police. The U.S. Marshal's Office tracked him to the West End near Broad Street and Gaskins Road.
Officials say as soon as he knew police were on to him, he started running, but police chased him down and quickly caught him near an area with business offices off Broad Street.
"Now that I found out about it, I'm glad they found him," said Kimberly Johnson who also works nearby.
The U.S. Marshal's Office says Langhorne was also convicted of a malicious wounding charge when he was arrested in Fluvanna County in 2007.
