Binford Middle School will hold its annual "Holiday Hooplah" Saturday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The daylong event will feature a winter concert by the school's band, chorus, harp ensemble and orchestra from 10 a.m. to noon. A silent auction featuring donated works by Virginia Community University (VCU) art students will take place at noon. VCU art students will also be on site to sell original work.
At 1 p.m., the annual basketball game between Binford and Albert Hill middle schools tips off. Halftime ceremonies will include cheerleading and step show performances. Admission to the game is $3.
Representatives from Stuff Reduz will also be on hand to help event-goers craft gifts from reusable materials.
