A 19-year-old man was sentenced to 23 years in prison Friday for killing a Chesterfield teenager.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports Brandon Fordham was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced for gunning down Manchester High School student, Tre Walton.
The 17-year-old was shot and killed in April.
Just before learning his sentence, Fordham cried in court and told the victim's family he didn't do it.
